Well guys in the past Ive been able to feed him frozen mysis by holding it onto its mouth and it would eat it. After a month or two of neglect im trying to bring him back to life...he closes up very slow and his outsides are very hard, used to be soft. What can i do? Takes him 10-15 minutes to close up...

Well if he used to be squishy, and now feels a little more bony, it sounds like he is slowly receding and dying. I would try to get him back to health asap or you will probably loose him. I would put him at the bottom facing upward, turning off all the flow, and leaving a good amount of mysis on his mouth and just leave it there. I did this when I almost lost an entire dragon soul favia colony, and now that its back to health, I cant get it to stop eating. Also check your nitrates, mine were really high and thats what made my lps act wierd. Good luck.

looks like a candy cane to me, kill the flow and it should put out some kind of feeder tentacles...then give em' some brine or mysis

i was going to say candy cane/trumpet too but then i saw the zoas in the background and thought that would be a pretty big polyp (at least compared to the ones I have) and then since there was only one as well...i thought if it was candy cane/trumpet that there would be additional polyps

Its a candycane
We have a few that look like that one. No target feeding for use but we feed our fish twice daily and they get leftovers from that and do great.

Move him to an area with less flow and continue to target feed. Try cyclopes maybe. Check after the lights go out to see if his feeder tentacles are out

move him to sand bed. when lights go out put mysis on and around him and cover with glass bowl for about 1 to 2 hours. after 30 min or so use a dim light to see if hes eating......after he eats move him back up so he can get light in morning.....or if your tank nots to deep leave him on bottom for a few days. Besure to remove bowl after feeding and rinse bowl well in ro water prior to feeding......
