how do i get my rose bulb to have rose bulb tips??

It's pretty much a mystery why some lose the bubbles and others don't. Not sure there is a way to bubble them up. Just get used to them as they are would be my suggestion.

I've heard many possible reasons. "If you don't feed, If you feed 3 times a week, If you extend the water changes to once every 3-4 months, if lighting is on the low side, do a water change that'll bring out the bubbles, increase water flow in the tank."

Who knows, I've tried different methods and have never seen any real results. My supplier always seems to be right on the money w/ advise and he had said he never feeds his bubble tips but maybe once every 6-12 months. the lack of feeding is when they bubble. I'm trying that method right know. I guess I should be happy at how good my rbta is doing and how big she's gotten since I first purchased her 3 months ago.

I guy I work w/ is having trouble keeping his alive. He says the tenticals are only like a half an inch to an inch long and it won't take food.

If any one every has any luck w/ a method I'd love to know

My GBTA is very very consistent. I can tell how hungry it is by how "not" bubbled up it is. I read a theory once that says hungry BTA's lose the bubble to have a longer reach and a better chance to grab food. My GBTA follows that to a T. If I see no bubbles, I feed him and by morning he's bubbled up again.

I've had my RBTA for almost a year and it has "bubbles" almost all the time during the day. This very same RBTA has split three times in my tank and all three babies kept their bubbles on for the most part of the day as well. My RBTA is the Rose kind with red base and no hint of green.

I got this RBTA from a Bay Area reefer and according to him, this particular nem is about 5th generation in captivity.

It's a real mystery why some RBTA keeps their bubbles and some don't. So far, I've been lucky.
