how do i get this out?!

So im trying to do the mesh mod for my skimmer and i got this far..

how does this come out?! i don't wanna break it.. didn't think this is what a needle wheel looked like? here is the new impellor i got from salty critter

am i on the right track here?

lol...Dan must know something is up. I was in on Saturday and picked up a new impellor for my Sedra 5000 to try the same thing.

Thats the wrong impellar for a needwheel pump, thats for the standard 5000

Buy a cheap replacement impeller and use that instead of cutting up your needlewheel.

I think you need the needlewheel impeller(eithe the one you have or a replacement and then cut all the pins off. Then mount the mesh to the disk thats left.

You can mount mesh on a normal propellor. However, you will have to cut the blades to accomodate the mesh. Cutting the pins off the needlewheel is the easier and more efficient choice.
