How do I know its growing?

Hi I have two hammer corals, one was bought as a 5 head frag the other a single frag. They both ooe nicely but how do I know they are growing, where would I see new growth? Thanks for your advice.

Over time you will see new heads forming along its base. I would advice maintaining your water chemistry at the recommended ranges and proper lighting.

If I could mention I see some of green hair algae.
Check your phosphate level and ensure its in the 0.03-0.07 range.
High phosphate will slow your coral growth.
Of course, keep CA,MG and ALK on point to allow for maximum skeleton growth.

Thanks, phosphate levels are at 0.03 hair algae was left on rocks from old setup, I will be pulling it off during water changes and get some snails in to finish the job.
