How do I mount my clam??

My clam needs to be high up in the tank but I don't know how to mount it. I tried wedging it between 2 rocks last night but it seemed not to be able to open after I did that. I heard I need a flat rock but I don't have one. Is there any other way of getting this mounted? What do you do step by step?

They have to attach themselves....there's not much we can do. Try not to move him too much, can cause stress. Try to find a nice little crevice for him.

LOL.....sorry I couldn't help but laugh when I read the title. Why does your clam need to be high up in your tank? On a 29 gallon with 2x175 MH lamps it should be ok on the substrate, MH penitrate deeper into the water then VHO or NO lamps.

I too liked the title/ subject ,lol. Some people stick a small rock under the clam, I have never done this and my clams (10) seem fine in sand bed. do not wedge your clam anywhere or ( subject)

Duct tape will get er done J/K:lol:

I placed mine on an old clam shell i got from the LFSs rubble tank once it attached i could place it anywere i wanted.

This is correct.

Neowind,

Quick question how deep is your sand bed? That tank is only 23 inches deep and if you have a DSB and a 175w halide you should be fine with him on the bottom.
