the sump that came with the 72 bow was to small i think it was a 55 gal pro clear. it was always needing to be toped off and i want to add a bigger skimmer so i made this today.

took a old 5gal water jug cut the top off and drilled so holes and out some feet on it

some egg create and bio balls

put it altogether and you get a redneck sump

It works, and that's most important.

If you wanted to save a little more money and work, you could have left the feet off and just drilled more holes in the side of the filter side.

its not bigger than a 55 i said its bigger than a pro clear55 a sump made for a 55 the tank was to big for it......it cost me less than 20 to make it

Since we're speaking about sumps, I'll eventually need to get a big one. Anybody know who sells the big livestock containers? I'm talking about the ones like the Coral Reef uses for their live rock. What's the price they usually cost?
