How do you acclimate your anemone?

I have heard of three ways to acclimate them I just don't know which is best?

1. Drip method for 2 hours

2. Add 1/4 - 1/2 a cup of water every 10 minutes 5-7 times

3. Float the anemone when you get it home then add it to the tank right away.

Personally, I acclimate ALL inverts using the drip method for no less than 1.5 hrs. Then float for about 15 mins to temp acclimate. Just ordered a GBTA, should be here tomorrow and I plan on doing just that.

So two of you do the drip acclimation.... Thanks for the link Presto, I am just curious who uses what process and how successful they are with it. I feel each process has its ups and downs.

If it is a bta that came from a local reefer i just float and add a few shott glasses of my water to the container they tend to be pretty hardy if clones from 1 that has been captive for awhile! If its a more testy anemone carpets etc. I do the same thing just for a longer period of time! It has worked for me so not saying that it will work for everyone else! Good luck! :)
