How do you Epoxy a Ricordea to a rock without taking the rock out?

I was wondering how I am going to epoxy the ricordeas to the rock that cannot be taken out of the water?

How long can a ricordea be out of the water without causing any harm?

I am imagining that I will place some expoxy of the ric., let it dry for little bit, then stick quickly unto the rock. Can I touch the coral with my finger and press down it so that it can be firm on the rock? Probably need to wear gloves, but it can be done, or no?

i dont believe there are any non-toxic epoxy that dry in water. (superglue) 100% pure cyanoacrylate is best, but you have to be dry. sorry, & REEF-ON!!!

ok well, how long can the ricordeas be out of the water? on the particular rock I have are some button polyps zoos; how long can they beout of the water. I don't like taking corals out the water.

The Ricordea will be fine out of the water for as long as you need to attach them to the desired location. The same goes for the Zoanthids.

Search for some pictures of low tide. :) If you begin to worry about them, just dab some saltwater on them. It is fine to touch them, as long as you are gentle.

I recommend using super glue gel. It will do the job, even in water.

I've had my polyps out of water for longer than 10 minutes and they opened back up in the water in less than 30 minutes. The ones I fragged I used super glue gel and it works awesome, just make sure you try and dab some of the slime of the part your glueing.

I just place the ric/zoo between 2 rocks and in a couple of days remove the top rock and the ric is attached. Ric seem to ooze to much to use any kind of glue.
