How do you get rid of bubble algae?

I bought a couple pieces of LR with it on there. Is there anyway to take it off? Someone told me to take the rock out, scrub it off, and rinse it in salt water. Is this what I should do? Thanks!

If the rocks are removable, yes, you could do that. I have been successful getting some out with a curette, a small curved scraping instrument that scrapes it off the live rock without bursting it. Emerald (mithrax) crabs have been known to eat it, but, not a guarantee that they will. SH

Just curious, if I did take it out, scrub it off, and then rinse it, wouldn't the spores from the algae be all over the rock then?

stick your head in the tank and bite it off!!!

j/k - you can pry it loose from the bottom with a toothpick - just dont pop it.

The spores are only active at a brief time. Don't panic over popping one, but it's best to avoid doing so if you can.
