how do you guys afford these Aussie Acans?

Not sure what your LFS situation is over on the west coast but we have some pretty good ones over here that get nice aussies for much less than the online vendors. The selection may not be as good and you cant get them right when you want them but you dont have to pay the insane per head prices online.

The last 2 i got from my lfs were both $150. One has about 25 heads, the other about 18 heads.

Same story... I let the LFS frag them into "affordable" pieces..

In addition to that we eat mac n cheese noodles for 2 weeks for lunch & diner after the purchase of any acan..

I cant say that I have seen any at my LFS, but then I havent been interested in Acans until the past 48 hours, LOL

One of my favorite LFS gets colonys in and frags them into 3-6 polyp pieces and sells them packs with 5 or 6 varietys for $160.
Usually a pack with have at least 25 heads. If you want just one kind its $10 a head for a frag. Makes getting a bunch of varietys way easier, you just gotta keep them alive and grow em out!

I picked up 2 frags today(10 totals heads) for $100. Buying frags is the only economical way to go.

I have found a couple sites with varying prices per polyp as well as some places selling 8+ polyp frags, seems like buying a TV, just gotta shop around for the best deal.
