How Do You Install The 6100

I purchased the 6100 Stream Kit from MD recently and I'm having a LITTLE trouble installing it. First of all, what are the two metal screws for? Second, I did a search in this forum under "attachment" and I read that one screw should come from the outside and one from the inside and that both should go through the slot in the rail forming a clamp. Is this right? Third, I also read that the small clip w/ the U shape goes on the inside of the rail, while the other clip with the rubber insert goes on the outside? If this is the case, then why is there only one hole on the U shaped clip for the bottom screw? The top hole does not go through all the way and it isn't threaded either, so when I tighten the outside screw it just pushes on the inside clip. Does this sound right? Lastly, how do you attach the suction cup? This is going to be mounted on a glass aquarium.
I hope my questions all make sense.

Thanks

The pump should have included two metal screws that will be used to span the trim. The suction cup will be a spacer at the bottom to keep the rail straight. The seperate bag that has these parts should have an illustration of assembly. I will include a picture.

This is how it assembles for Oceanic. For All Glass trim I find it works best if you cut the plastic ferrule that was included and screw that to the rail and put the suction cup on the other end. Be careful to cut so you get the threaded end in the length you need between the glass and the rail. This is necessary because the trim is wider and a greater stand off is needed.

Thanks for the picture. What do you use to attach the suction cup? I also notice that the top screw doesn't thread all the way through the inside plastic clip, is this true?

Yes, it works like a wood clamp, you clamp the center or lower screw tight and the top screw pushes out the outer piece to "bite" in. The suction cup is attached using the tiny screw and the plastic ferrule which you cut to fit. Be sure and cut so you keep the threaded end. On oceanic tanks the screw is used with the nut which you press into the suction cup but all glass and brands with thicker trim require the ferrule be cut to make up the distance.
