how do i check if my ro/di system is good to use for my aquarium? like how do i check if it doesnt have any nitrates or anything bad for my tank?

you need a TDS meter to tell how clean your water is.. A RODI has nothing to do with nitrates.. it only cleans disolved solids in the water...

Out of the DI you should generally read 0 TDS. Out of the RO it depends on how good your filters/membrane are and how much TDS is going into them from your water supply. For me, my tap water is 155 TDS and out of the RO it's 2 TDS, then out of the DI it's 0. This is on a Optima C/A. Generally you want to shoot for as low of a TDS as possible out of the RO so the DI doesnt work as hard and last longer.

i have a system for drinking... like those drinking water systems put under the sink.. will those work?

its a 5 stage system

I'd buy the TDS meter and check what the reading is coming out of that unit and post here. Can't really say yes or no till you find out what the TDS is.
