My calcium is at about 550 and I wondered if someone could tell me the best way to lower it. All the other parameters checked out fine. I have a 2 inch sand bed out of aragamax if this helps.
I would try taking a water sample to your lfs to see if they get the same result. Assuming the test is correct all you need are a couple of big water changes.
i was adding kent marine CB 2 part supp. was out of Ca test kits then got some more, and know I have had a drastic jump. It is possible that I overdosed I suppose. I will start doing bigger water changes. I have done two 5 gallon changes in the past 2 days and the level has not come down. I have about a 90 gallon water volume including the water in the sump.
The tank is not showing any Ill affects from the calcium levels. There are lots of corals in there, so maybe they will suck up some of the excess calcium.
