how do you measure Mg?

You need to get a test kit that measure Mg. Its one of thoughs tests that a pain.

yep sea. . +1 salifert. The kit is like $30 but is worth it with the money I have in coral. Many coral ie. elegance are sensitive to mg.

oops - I made a Mg comment on my other thread...Is the Mg test kit a straight colorimetric test or is it a titration?

I have the TropicMarin Ca/Mg test kit and like it very much. I can whip out a test pretty quick and it tests Ca first so it's 2 in 1, and I feel very accurate. (being German )

Suggestion to anyone using this kit: I drilled a tiny hole in the the center of the test tube cap so I can just insert the syringes and add the drops, then swirl, this way I don't have to take the cap off a million times, which I find was the biggest opportunity for spilling/wasting fluid and possibly screwing the test up, anyway just a tip...
