How Do You Move/Grow Polyps?

I have a bunch of clusters of polyps. Can you break off a few and plant them in live rock in a different part of the tank? How do you do that? What is that called propagation?

you can try to grow your polyps on LR rubble. then when you get a few polyps on each peice of rubble, you can then relocate the piece of rubble with the polyps on it.

yes you can break some off and transplant them, but instead of breaking them, you can cut them. you cant really break the polyp, but you can break the rock they're on. just be carefull because they're toxic. what kind of polyps do you have?

If they are very small, how do you cut them? Can you simply pull them off the rock they are on? I am guessing no...

I have NO IDEA what kind of polyps they are other than by describing them by color.

Toxic? If I mess with them, they will secrete a toxin in the water thereby killing all my corals, fish, etc?

Now I am frightened.
