How do you use DT phytoplankton

This is a total noob questions. How do you use DT phytoplankton. Specifically, do you shut off your pumps ?

I just dose into my tank the recommended amount, 1 TSP per 15 gallons... I don't anything off.

I turn off my skimmer for about an hour after I dose the tank. All other pumps I leave on.

I don't use DT's I grow my own but I just take a turkey baster full of phyto and blow it around the corals that I want to feed. But on smaller tanks you could just dose it into the water. Make sure that you start slow so that you don't overfeed. Your tank will eventually be able to take quite a bit without having a nutrient problem. HTH, Tim
