here is the initial sketch of the sump i will build. i have a couple quick questions..

- do you think it is partitioned correctly?
- how many inches should i leave between the three glass panes that will make up the first bubble baffle wall?
- how many inches of clearance should i leave between the bottom of the bubble wall and the bottom of the tank?

but with a smaller return area, wont i be adding water on a daily basis? this will be underneath a 200g tank with about 800 watts of light.

so get an ATO for minimal $$ and maximize your fuge area

Yup, and with that large of a return, you are going to get larger salinity swings than you would with a smaller return. Not that they would be large enough to impact inhabitant health, but the more stable the better.
