how fast do clowns grow?

I have a pair of ocellaris that I have had for a little over a year now. I have one that is bigger than the other, which im assuming the bigger is the female and the smaller the male. My question though is the supposed male is pretty much the same size as when I got him a year ago? is that normal or something not right? the tank is a 29gal, he gets plenty to eat, I make sure of that, whats up?

I want to know as well. I have 2 clarkii clowns thar are less then an inch, but this last week I saw 2 clarkii clowns in a large tank and that pair was at least 6 inches.

This is very true I have had my black and whites for about a year and they were about the same size when I bought them. I had the bigger of the two in the tank for maybe a week before getting the second in there. The bigger of the two was the one that ended up being the female. I watched them when I put the second in the tank and the smaller one was very passive and put his back to the sand bed showing he gave in to the female or bigger dominant one. Since then the female has grown to be 3/4 of an inch bigger then the other.

I'm also curious. My GSM pair measure about 1.5" and 3.5", and must be about four years old -- I've had them nearly a year and I'm their fourth home, and they've lost the bottoms of their stripes which, I understand, happens with age? They're fat and sassy, and eat like hogs, but don't seem to have put on much size since I brought them home -- not that I'm complaining. I've seen a 6" female, and I'm not eager for mine to reach the size of that monster!
