How fast do Copepods Spread?

Just recently bought and recieved some OceanPods off the internet. I put them into my tank yesterday after a drip acclimation. When the lights were off, i poked around with a flashlight and found a bunch in a specific corner, somewhat close to them was my Mandarin. I was wondering about how long it would take them to multiply? I have heard that they will do so very rapidly if they have enough room to hide. Hope i have heard correctly!

Since you have amandarin they wont last long unless oyu build up some rock rubble in one corner of your tank out of sight, this will give them th protectionthey need to multiply. Otherwise they will be gone within hours if the mandarin knows where they are and of they are all huddled up in a group.
Otherwise if they are safe they can double there group within a week or so.

I have some in my refugium also. So they should be okay down there away from him. But that makes me happy that i bought around 1000, and they will double within a week or so as long as he didn't find them. So, hopefully I can keep my mandarin nice and fat
