How fast will a maxima attach.

I have a small Maxima thats currently on the sand prob just over 30mm long. But i want to move it up onto the rock. Im worried it will get knocked down amongst my rocks though and lost. How long does it take them to attach ?

If they are happy, not long. Byssal threads can be secure in less than a day. but if he's not happy, he may not ever attach. Really an impossible question to answer. Let your clam decide.

Try a 1/2 shell or a flat rock under and when it attaches, you can move it around. I have moved my clams many times this way and they still attached to the original shell/rock.
