How hard is it

IMO very hard... at least for home aquarium. What kind of clam are you talking about btw?

I agree! The juveniles Tridacnids are a challenge to keep but it can be done with feeding and GOOD water conditions and without saying, the right tankmated.

dont get a small one. as everyone has said they are very hard to keep. if this is your first clam start with a Derasa in the 4" range.

The little ones require a lot of care, like bowl feeding every day. They are not able to survive on photosynthesis alone, and cannot filter enough food from full tank feedings alone.
