How high should I keep my fixture?

I have a 150w mh 2x24 t5 fixture over my 30g mix reef mostly sps frags that I just put in. How high should I place it, I have it about 4-6 inches right now.

I have my 150w mh about 9 to 10 above water level on my 20 cube. With your fixture having t5's, you should keep it between 10 to 12 inch. 4 to 6 inch is to low IMO.
