How hot is too hot

Okay so whats the hottest temp your tank has gotten and corals still lived? Probe fell out of my sump and heater cooked lots of nice stuff. Haven't burried anything but a fish...the only one in the tank at the moment, but had some nice coral thats probably fish food now.

Just bring the temp back down as slow as possible. the shock from a rapid temp change will do more damage than a gradual raise in temp. it was sump only, but it hit 95 one day when i was doing a water change.

I think we peaked out over 100. Did take the temp back down slow...3 hours or more but I think Jan noticed the problem too late. Luckily it wasn't in my main display tank or I would be really heart broken. The losses we suffered will be hard any way

Ow. 85 can be bad news for a lot of things.
