That skimmer is pretty big for a 100 gallon, but I don't believe you can overskim a tank.
I have a used one if you are intersted. If you have it already, I would run it until you find something you like better.
They work great and I know a couple of collectors/wholesalers that use them on their 500+ gallon holding systems.
