How is this plumbing? (Pics)

Hello,

While plumbing my 125 gal reef, for one section of the return I had to have the PVC dip down and then up again just before going back to the main aquarium. Can this be done, or will it be a problem in terms of noise, etc... ? I'd like to have a very quiet tank if possible.

Here are some pics:

Here's also a picture of the pump teeing off into the two separate returns

Thanks!

it will work fine. you are adding unecessary head pressure that way...but its minimal and on a return it doesn matter so much as most people run way too much flow through their returns anyway.

if you used a real bulkhead and plumbing and not those despised nipple things and tubing you wouldnt have to have the dip there,

Regardless....looks good and will work fine ans wont add any noise set up as is

Probably not an ideal situation...
I would be worried that the pump would overdrive the drain with all those 90s in the drain.

Why couldn't you put a 45 facing out and then a 90 to the right for the run?

Those 90 degree fittings will create a lot of resistance that the pump would have to overcome.

Also, I would not use that clear tubing. Over time, it will become brittle from the salt water and leak.

your going to have a ton of head pressure and reduce the flow of that pump ALOT because of that positioning. For the price of PVC, i would just go ahead and redo it again.

How long does it take for the plasticizers to leach to this degree? Have you seen this happen? Was the tubing exposed to light?
