How long apex pH probes last
In college (bio major/Chen minor grad 2013) I used PH probes that were from the 80s for all my titration experiments. Those were considered "lab grade" I guess. They were specific to the dot in calculating pH changes as I was adding acid or base to the solution. Keep in mind I was adding microliters of the acid/base to the solution and the old probes still provided specific measurements to the nearest one thousandths decimal point.
I took a class called quantitative chemical analysis. The purpose of the whole class was to how to get the MOST accurate readings as possible. We used pH probes nearly everyday that semester. It was nuts.
In my opinion, the whole lab grade thing is bogus. That's just my honest opinion. I used the Ph probes from the 80's and the pH probes from last year, I still had same exact pH readings from both meters.
Just my 2 cents
