how long before filling with water?

I just made my sump and it says on tube wait 48 hrs before filling with water. Is this true?

At least. A lot of folks will say a week or more for a full, true cure - I assume you're talking silicone cure?

If you can still smell it, it's not cured enough. Mine took almost a week but I didn't have the tank done by then.....

i waited a full week for the silicone on my overflow to fully cure before water testing the tank. its not worth rushing it and having issues and prob having to redo it

As others stated.. Yes wait.. In fact it could be longer than 48 hrs depending on bead thickness..
