How long do gobies live?

For example yellow or green clown goby, Hi fin, catalina, neon etc? Would hate to keep having to replace them after a couple months. I surmised most small fish last less than a year max.

All fish live much longer than that. I am not sure how long clown gobies live but I am sure they live at least 5 years. Mine are maybe 3, I don't remember. My watchmans lived about 12 years as most fish of that size live. Larger fish like tangs can live about 20 years as do clownfish. My fireclowns are almost 20.

These guys lived and spawned for 12 years, they are very young here

These little gobies live much shorter than most fish, but way longer than a few months.

Here are those watchmans about 10 years old

I have a mated pair of clown gobies, I love those fish because they are real bright yellow.

Even mandarins live over 10 years, here are mine spawning.
Mandarins are dragonettes, not gobies.

Here is a short video, you can see the clown gobies here. If you feed them correctly, gobies, and all fish will live a long time. Dry food is not the correct food.

All my fish get live blackworms every day. They also get clams and Mysis. That is the secret, but don't tell anyone. They are eating live blackworms in that video.
The small fish, pipefish and mandarins get live newborn brine shrimp every day
These mandarins are getting ready to spawn.

Some fish don't live very long (many a few months (likes some cardinals)) but some do live for much longer. It depends on the species.

I don't know any fish that does not live at least a few years. Seahorses don't live very long but even they live 4 years or so.
What type of cardinal only lives a few months? A fish has to live long enough to spawn, or the species would die out.
If your tank is big your never going to see a clown goby well at least for me it was that way...ha
Not always, my tank is 6' long and the 2 clown gobies are always in a coral head in the front. I have had dozens of them and found that they all stay near the front. Citron gobies or green ones like the one I posted, hey hide and you never see them.

You can see one of the yellow clown gobies in here. You have to look hard but he is in there,
