It's just a QT for corals, right? As long as there isn't anything to cycle in there (IE new rock, a fish, etc.) You can put them in right away. Of course, after acclimating them

im gunna put my zoa frags in , an a big mushroom rock..
an after a while a 6line wrasase, but just for now , my zoas...

Im sirry im a little confused, are you going to only QT new corals in it?

I would recommend a bare bottom tank w/ nothing in it at all as a QT.

You dont want anything in a quarentine tank, by definition. You just want a bare tank running, with HOB filters cycled for when you need it. When not using the QT, you can hang the HOB filter on your display or sump ect, to keep it cycled. The idea behind QT tank is so that you can watch anew fish for signs of disease before adding to your display, and if necessary you can treat a sick fish with hyposalinity, copper, green malachite, all of which are deadly to coral.

I think that they wre talking about QT'ing corals for things like red bugs etc.

Would it be safe to run a filter that is from a sick tank on a display tank while not using it? I think that running the QT tank endlessly is probably the better idea. I could be wrong.
