How long does it take to remove copper?

I have a 20g QT that had Cupramine in it, around .05. I did a 30% water change, and put in a carbon bag in the HOB filter. After about a week, the test kit still shows some traces of copper, although I can't tell how much.

I want to get some snails, and maybe a softie, and QT them before going into the main tank, but I realize the copper needs to be outta there first.

There's no calcerous material in the tank, only heater & PVC elbows.

I personally don't quarantine inverts, and I wouldn't put them into a tank that contained copper without carefully washing it out first. Cupramine may not be as bad as other copper forms in that regard, but I would not assume that you can pull it all out with carbon. Not showing on a kit is not necessarily low enough.
