How long for anthias to pick a sex?

I have had three lyretail anthias for abotu 6 weeks now. While one is significantly larger, none has started to redden yet. How long does it take for this species to change sex?

check the largest ones dorsal fin , does it have a spike , that was the first sign i saw when mine changed . not his color

Agree, though I do have a male w/ spike and purple color, I also have a submale that has a spike, and that one is still very bright orange similar to the females.

Yes, I have noticed the largest one is getting a small spike on the dorsal fin the other 2 do not.

hes starting. honestly, I had mine for almost a year and he didnt change. when i got rid of the pair he hs just started getting the spots on the fins. Nice looking fish, just kind of ageessive. good luck bud, post pics!
