Hi all,
This unfortunate ocellaris was purchased from an online fish supplier, and came in with what I think is a pretty aggressive case of fin rot. After 4 days, it does not appear to be responding to Furan2, which I'm using as printed on the label.
Other than the affected caudal fin, the fish appears healthy. Should I continue with Furan2 and water changes, or switch to something else? As far as I know, Furan2 covers gram(-) and gram(+) bacteria, and has some antifungal coverage as well so I'm puzzled as to why this is going nowhere. Melxafix was suggested by the retailer who sold it to me, but that seems to be pretty weak compared to Furan2, based on what I've read.
Does anyone have any suggestions on this?
Thanks
