How long for PVC glue to be safe

I read a thread recebtly that indicated a slurping drain could be caused by too much flow into the drain. Mu pump is about 900 GPH, so I'm going to odify my plumbing. I'm going to T off the return line. A ball valve on both branches of the T. One branch will go to the tank return and one will power my BRS dual reactor. I can then ditch my noisy MJ1200.

Problem is: I don't have enough room under my union for all the plumbing, so I am going to cut and re-glue. How long until the glue is safe enough to have water run through the line?

Thanks.

I've glued many pieces and have always waited 15 minutes and have not had any issues. I remember reading this a few places. Just wanted to pass along my experience, dont hold me to anything if it crashes your tank :)

I figured out a pipe connection that allowed me to do the modification without moving the unoin on my return, so I made the new PUMP->UNION section and let it dry for an hour. I need to shorten it a little though...

All in all it worked well. I now have my return pump running my display return and my reactor. I can crank the pump up and throttle the flow to each with ball valves. I am seeing more tumble in my GFO reactor also. Plus the noisy (new) MJ1200 will be relegated to salt mixing duty.

Nice job Ben, if you are still concerned you could run some carbon to remove any possible contamination.
