How Long Should I Wait For Salt To Desolve

I bought 5 gallons of saltwater from my lfs, but the salinity was low so i added about 1 tablespoon of salt to raise it, how long do you think it will take to desolve? I have a korallia nano in the bucket mixing it. I just want to know if i can do my water change tonight.

You have salt but buy pre-mixed from the LFS? huh.

anyway - should have dissolved by now.

a tablespoon of salt in 5 gallons made it right? That's a fine tune.

You will probably need a lot more than a tablespoon. Try a 1/4 cup then test. If needed add more salt.

Oh yeah, if you stir the water, the salt will dissolve almost instantly. Maybe a couple of minutes at the most to dissolve.

LFS should correct the salinity reading prior to dispensing/selling.

An LFS I frequent keeps their holding tanks at 30ppt. Their water is for sale but self serve. I don't think it should be on them to increase it if you want the salinity higher.

When mixing salt water from mix plus RODI, over night will do the trick. I think a few hours is good though. For just a tweak like you have done .... I would think you are good to go when it has dissolved.
