How long to colour up after phosphate spike?

My younger bro who just got into the hobby "borrowed" my TDS meter. While unknown to me my TDS started to creep up around this time. So, it might have been at least I month that I was topping up with 50+ TDS water as well as using that water for water changes.

Sadly all my corals severely browned out. How long will it be before they colour up again?

For reference my phosphates are now 0.02 ppm and slowly getting lower since I started to use a phISP ate reactor. I am also passively running carbon.

Had the same issue with a reading of .019ppm. Corals do not like phosphates in the water column. I have the same skimmer, so Britewell Phosphate-E removed all phosphates virually over night. Now 2 weeks later everything is happy and cheery again. I had frogspawn that wouldn't even open up, back to normal now.

Now if I could just figure what happen to my hairy mushrooms...
I think that's a lighting issue and acclimating them to bright light. Time will tell.

Bummer man. I had a similar situation happen in my tank, my po4 level got up to .25ppm!! Obviously most of my SPS browned out quite a bit. That was about a month ago and most of my corals still haven't recovered all that much (po4 has been at .01ppm for a few weeks now). I have seen some improvement but nothing major. They still have a long road to full recovery.

Ah man, I was hoping I would hear that they would recover thier nice colouration within a few weeks...it sounds like it will take months and months to regain their colour! Blah, its so easy to go turd brown but sooo hard to colour up, even if you get the phosphates down within a week...

Hmmm....I just had an idea...What if I were to dose Zeospur to purge the excess Zooxanthellae?

Would that work?
