How Long to Treat With Cupramine?

How long should I treat with Cupramine?

I saw this (below) on another thread I found by searching for "Cupramine," but I don't recall seeing any information on the bottle for how long to treat, just the therapeutic copper level:

"Is 14 days long enough? It is whats on the bottle, but I thought with the lifecycle of Ich I'd need to be hitting around 30 days of therapeutic levels to actually have an effect."

(Not at home right now to double-check the bottle to see if the info is, in fact, there, but I thought I checked the bottle carefully......)

It depends upon whether you have 1 or 2 QTs to work with.

If just 1 QT: Treat for 30 days.

If 2 QTs: Treat for 14 days and then transfer the fish to the other tank. The tanks should be at least 10 feet apart (aerosol transmission) and NOTHING can be shared between them. Only transfer the fish.

^^ In both scenarios, the treatment clock doesn't begin until you've reached therapeutic copper (0.5 ppm for Cupramine).
