wow that apple berry has crazy PE...my appleberry is the only one without good PE in my tank! good job!!

I think I would prefer h. berrys PE if they looked more like the tips of a seriotopa hystrix instead of like valonia........but thats just me

i have a frag i bought from a local reefer he called blueberry acro, then i just saw it on exoticfrags.us and he's listed as a farmer. waaaayy cheaper from him than EF.us :)

Hopefully I can get the deep colors back that Greg has.

flyguy,

Guilty as charged. In my own defense I can only claim total ignorance at the time. anyway, names are fun green montipora palawanesis with blue polyps is a mouthful and boring. but Appleberry (picture that in some dazzling font) is just plain appealing. thanks for the pic looks good.

rtbm.........I think you may have took me wrong.

i call it fake because i think its funny. I have not seen a "true" appleberry palawensis any nicer. I think I will later today move the coral so I can show you all what the side that gets more light actually looks like. Its a knockout.

for anyone curious how it started....rtbm( a reputable hobbyist I would buy/trade from again in a heartbeat) posted a sale ad quite a while back advertising a appleberry monti. He was given extrreme grief in the thread from people saying he was misadvertising. He didnt call it an "ATL", nor did he call it a "palawenensis", nor was he charging but a small fraction of what the atl palawensis can go for. It was perfectly fair game referring to it simply as an appleberry IMO and I bought it and am glad i did.

;)

No no I get it man seriously. you may have taken me to seriously there. Berry this and berry that It's all in good fun. for what its worth I do have mings real appleberry and side by side mine is and has always looked better just not a palawanesis. let me know if you ever want a piece. seriously no hostility intended whatsoever I am glad you like the coral. In fact I have been meaning to ask how those blue zoas with the yellow centers were doing. i lost all of mine sadly they called those joy's blues....................berry sorry to drift off topic there there

blue zoas with yellow centers.....hmm. I have a few that fit that description, but I dont think any of them came from you, so Im going to step out on a limb here and say mine arent doing so hot either

Damn i thought i'd hit you up for a frag of them one day. look at the top of the main page of midwestsaltwater.com. thats them.

oh.......those AOI like substances.

I do still have a few of those. I guess I forgot where I got them. They grow slow, and every time I get the colony up to what can almost be called a colony I will lose most and start over again. Its happened a few times now :)
