how many 3watt leds

I'm thinking about building a led light. The tank is 8 x 2 x 2 feet. I plan on having sps
How many 3watt leds would I need. I'm just trying to get a rough estimate of what it will cost me. Ive done some research but there is so much info.

I think you could get buy with anywhere from 100-180 depending on various factors (distance from water, animals kept, optics, amperage, etc.)

I agree. I have a 120 which is 60x18x25. I have 90 Crees on mine.
