How many anthias in a 90 G?

I plan on adding anthias to my 90 Rimless tank. How many can I get? Which beginner anthias would you recommend? Do they require multiple feeding in a day ? TIA

I don't have any anthias but I would love to add some to my 75 gallon but I know anthias need a lot of swimming area and they need to be feed more then any other fish you probably have. I heard like 3 times a day and I think 3 lyretails or bartletts would be nice but if you do get a couple try and get 1 male and a couple females so you can eliminate aggression.

The tank is cycling so there's nothing in it except LR. It's probably not going to be ready for at least another month. Until then I'm just trying to come up with a stock list wit perhaps a small dwarf angel or two.

Lyretails probably need a bit more space than Bartletts. Latter might be a bit easier to feed too.

id wait at least 6 months. then get 3 Dispared or red saddled anthias.

I say wait 6 months, cause your system needs to be ready to take the extra feeding they need.

Bartlet is another option, but they dont tolerate other anthias, so u can also go with 3 bartlet. they are my FAv.

I'm digging both the Barlet and Dispar anthias. Though I heard the latter can be a challenge to feed.

Tagging along as I've got a similar situation. I've got 3 Dispar in my QT waiting to go into my 90, DT already has a pair of clowns, Midas Blenny, and a flame angel. I was thinking about adding another dispar or 2 down the road.

I think the lyretails are easier and require less feedings. I had a trio and they didn't fight as much as my Bartletts do. With the lyretails there was one male and two females and the male pretty much left the females alone. I lost them when my tank crashed and they hid in the rocks when the water level dropped. I know have 5 Bartletts in my 120, I started with 5 very small, less than an inch in size. They grew very fast and are all well over 1 1/2" and the male is upwards of two inches. The submale is very close in size and challenges the male all the time now. The three females tend to hangout together but not with the males, they are more active than the lyretails were. The male Bartlett is very striking when fully devolved and I have never seen any pics of a terminal male or have seen another in person. I didn't expect to get a terminal male in only 3 months but it looks way better than the females.

I have 4 anthias in my 90 and they have plenty of swimming room. I feed 2x per day sometimes 3 if I get home early.

What do you guys feed them with? Can I substitute flake food on occasion? Would love to see some pics please.

Nls pellets with formula 2 pellets mixed, mysis, spirulina brine

Mine will eat anything I feed my tank. Mysis, cyclopeze, flake, pellets, other frozen food. Usually feed flake in am and meaty in pm.

I have had groups of up to 6 lyretails in a 90 with no issues. By that point though they are a significant part of your total stocking.

Probably going to go with 4 anthias + long nose hawk+ YT. That's about it, I think.

Just saw you said rimless in the original post. Anthias are jumpers. I have lost them to jumping and I have a canopy, make sure you have some netting or something over your tank.
