How many anthias needed for a harem?

I got 4 last week at the lfs....one pink/orange male and 3 4 orange/yellow females. AI'm down to two females as my coral beauty has taken one lady out

How many required for a harem?

Technically, a harem would be 1 male and 2 females, buttt, if you want a nice shoal I would say around 6 or so. Whether that's suitable for your tank depends on the size though.

Of course one might ask why the coral beauty would not take out more of them?

the cb has never shown aggression to any other fish in my 175...coincidentally, one of the females also picked on this fish along wih the cb. I don't see it and feel it's hermit/brittlestar bait but the other 3 are fine and eagerly eating with the other at feeding times.

Won't take nls yet, only H20 1-2, Roggers, Rods, pe mysis, brine, and H20 fusion....they take the nls but then spit it out.
