How many barlett anthias can I keep in a 100g display tank with very good filtration and about 210 gallons of total system water volume? Also about 40x turnover in terms of flow.
I will only have a genicanthus angelfish and a pair of ocellaris clowns as tankmates.
well, I'm talking about barlett anthias, the smaller of the anthia species (check subject).
I also will have 40x turnover, and only 45lbs. of live rock. They'll have to be swimming a lot, and I'm sure I have more swimming room than most 100g's with only 45lbs of rock
the good news is that in my experience you can always add more anthias later if you decide you want more and they should fit in fine. Also mine love to swim in crazy current and I have over 50x turnover in my 300 gallon tank. At night they will lay in the rocks.
