how many fish do you guys have in your 120g?

I've read of some guys in Germany with at least 60 little gobies in a 120 without any problems.

I thought about doing something like that...but the price of 60 small gobies scared me away, LOL. If you find a thread about that please link it...I would love to see that.

wow, great looking regal. has it nipped at any of your corals, specifically any zoos or chalices? What about other LPS or softies?

Thanks!
Eaglesrx: zoos is like popcorn for them, no way of keeping them. :bounce3: I'm not really into chalices, so I don't know about them. I do know that the more 'meaty' LPS, like Trachyphyllia and Lobophyllia are food as well. I do keep some LPS, among which Goniopora, Euphyllia, Leptoria and Nemenzophyllia without any problems. They do nip on sps occasionally, but as long as they don't seriously harm the coral, I don't really care about that.
Part of the trick is keep them happy: enough food (quality and quantity) and keep them occupied: enough space and shelter, enough possibilities to avoid each other, and a partner. In my experience many so-so reefsafe fish are more reefsafe when kept as pairs. This difference is often so large, that a pair often causes less damage than just a single specimen kept without partner... Food for thought :)

Realreef7: it's mainly about nutrient export: growing corals and GFO, Bubble King and some carbon source (mainly wodka and vinegar). I have started zeovit next to this to see if I can improve colouration a bit more, phosphates are already low (0,03) and nitrates as well. I do water changes quite often, I'm currently trying how the tank reacts to smaller water changes.

I have a 5x2x2 150g reef with ~60g sump. My total water volume is 203 gallons give or take.... Lets see:

1x Hippo Tang (~5")
1x Kole Tang (~3")
1x Copperband Butterfly (~5")
2x Occy Clowns (One orange, one black)
3x Lyretail Anthias (2 Male, 1 female... my original male died and one of my females changed and I added another male. They leave each other alone though i wanna get one out if I can)
3x blue chromis
3x green chromis
1x LMB (~5")
1x Spotted Dragonet
1x Orange Spotted Goby
1x Zebra Striped Dartfish
1x Firefish
1x Cleaner Wrasse (Doing great and eating everything!)
1x Coral Beauty Angel (~4")

so.... 21 fish, and I'm thinking about adding a bluethroat trigger too. All my parameters are pristine and the tank has been running for 6 months. I have no aggression issues except for the occasional tiff between the kole and hippo.

Heres a cell phone FTS I just took...

Univalreef, how do all those fairy wrasses do together? I currently have a Solar Fairy & and a Lubboks and wanted to add a pair of Flame Wrasses but I am a little weary due to the Solar being a little aggressive.

Tanu, on the regal angels so if I added a pair to my tank at the same time would I add one small & one larger one? Is a 140 cube (36"x36"x25") to small for a pair of regals, in your opinion? My current fish are a pair of mating false percs, Solar Fairy, Lubboks Fairy, a female Bellus angel. (currently looking for a Male Bellus to add), and I also have a smaller yellow belly Hippo tang that I will be adding next week.

Thanks!

Scopas Tang
Pseudo Fridmani
False Perc
Blue/Green Chromis
Blue thoat trigger pair
Female Jampanese swallowtail angel - it just made its first week and love the fish!
golden Midas blenny
Mckoskers

Total of : 9

Waiting for Chevron and may do the Mystery wrasse

in the 125
1 yellow tang
1 Blue jaw male
1 Male leopard wrasse
1 Diamond goby
1 scooter blenny
2x clown fish
2x yellow watchman
3x anthias
2x blue chromis

14 fish (BIG SKIMMER) SWC 250

Do you guys think my tank is over stocked?
-1 yellow tang
-1 purple tang
-1 flame hawk
-1 yellow coris wrasse
-3x percula clown
-1 watchmen goby
-1 flame angel
-1 coral beauty
-1 starry blenny

All are pretty small, biggest fish is 4in which is the yellow tang.

In the future, I would really like to add a show piece angel, maybe a nice red sea regal... but thats about it...

I think you are fine - assuming you don't have a big grocery stand of live rock....

Interesting you have 3 percs. How did you decide on a trio?

My contents:
1 x Ctenochaetus strigosus (kole)
2 x amphiprion percula (breeding)
2 x Opistognathus aurifrons (jack-in-the box - that is funny tanu!)
5 x Apogon leptacanthus (blue eye cardinal)
1 x Nemateleotris magnifica
1 x Halichoeres chrysus (evil fat pig, terrorizes my snails)
1 x Chrysiptera parasema (damsel added last)

The clown fish are great, they all share the lime green LTA. I started out with 2 then 3 months later I added one more and ever since the 3 have been buddies.

I have a 5x2x2 150g reef with ~60g sump. My total water volume is 203 gallons give or take...so.... 21 fish
There have been other threads on RC about stocking levels...and I seem to remember the average is usually in the 1 fish per 10 gal. range...but if that is your 'gauge' for stocking, then I would estimate that a 150g tank and 60g sump, minus rock/sand, probably has less than 150g actual total water volume. It is good to figure actual water volume if dosing chemicals, meds, etc.

(currently looking for a Male Bellus to add),
NYaquatics has 2 male bellus angels,in stock... I was there today http://www.nyaquatic.com/servlet/the-481/Bellus-Angel--dsh--Male/Detail

Thanks for the heads up albano, so this a quality store I take it? I would love to order one, but due to the weather out there and the weather coming here tomorrow I am afraid to ship anything right now...

quality online vendor...14 day stay alive guarantee...only 20 min. from my home, so I pick up there. Michael (owner) is a real nice guy, can get just about any fish, you want. You could call to order it and have him hold it for a few days before shipping.
