Newbie question:

I have a 55 with 2 B/W occellaris, 1 brittle star, 1 cleaner shrimp.
Is it too small to add
1 flame angle and
2 or 3 Bartlett anthias?

Thanks

id say the flame would be fine
I dont know about the 2 or 3 anthias though.
Maybe one or the other

As long as the tank is a FOWLR you should be ok but you will have to monitor it very close and do weekly water changes to keep the nitrates down.

Most anthias require 6 foot of running room. The sunset anthias, if in a quiet tank, might do all right: they also go solo quite nicely.

Your fine I have a yellow tang, two clowns, a royal gamma, sea urchin, and a cleaner shrimp, all are doing great and im going to add more..they actually seem to get happier and less shy the more fish that are added.

I have 6 fish

I have 6 in a 55g. I won't say which fish as can cause a ruckus here, but needless to say all are doing fine, and healthy. However I'm not a newbie or an expert so I will say this, tread cautiously on fish purchases, its easy to think they will all make it, but temperment and swimming space is the biggest factor. I would say either structure your rocks in such a way to allow maximum hiding and swimming space, and make sure you if you have agressive fish in mind to add them all at once before territories are established.

just my $02
