how many fish is too much?

i have a 120 set up with 55 gallon sump about 200 pounds live rock 160 pounds live sand i have about 8 fish now never had a water condition problem but the guy at the lfs says no more fish.what do you think?thanks for any help

It depends on how big the fish are and their feeding requirements.

Becareful or you will end up like dex and spend all your time taking care of 2 tanks to get another fish in.
