I'm thinking about moving to LED's. How many fixtures would you put over a tank thats 60 x 30 x 10? Additionally what would you say is the correct height for LPS corals? Thanks again
absolutely depends on what LEDs you're using. are you looking at a diy kit? radions? AIs? All are completely different animals. What kind of price point are you looking at and how much controllability (is that a word?) do you want built in to the lights? All make a big difference.
I'm not sure on what fixure yet. I was leaning toward the taotronics fixtures as i didnt think having a 10" high tank I would need radions or ai's? With such a shallow tank I'm thinking of raising the fixtures a couple feet above the tank and hoping that will help spread the light. I just dont want to overkill this and was thinking 3 fixtures was extreme but wanted everyone's opinions?
