How many lights for a 36” long by 18” wide

I just got my tank in.
It’s 36 x18 by 16 high


Seems most lights recommend 1 led fixture for every 2 feet of tank

Should I get 2 90 watt lights like this. Or 1 140 watt light that may have wide coverage
I’m going to be keeping soft corals, lps

I agree with Ned, on a 3' tank, I'd go with two.

I would grab 2 lights and adjust for your tank. 1 light probably won't have the spread and output your wanting. Most LED fixtures cover a 2ft x 2ft area.

Looks great, you can always lower intensity (softies) but have an option to do SPS.
I started with softies, but ended up with sticks, just the original lights ramped way up.
