How many members are in the Northcoast Reefers?

I grew up in Healdsburg, then lived in Rohnert Park before moving to Roseville about 5 years ago. I just recently found MARS and started attending meetings. Looks like I will be moving back to Santa Rosa whenever my house sells here(slow market, could be next year at this rate). I have really enjoyed my MARS experience and just found out about Northcoast Reefers. Just curious about the club and how it compares to BAR and MARS. Any comments appreciated. How many members? Where do you noramlly meet? How many people typically attend the meetings? Etc. I figured that I would still attend the MARS meetings in the future, but it will be 2 hours away, so not sure.

We are a very small club, 20 -30 members. You will find that our club meetings feel like you are just out hanging with friends and having a good time drinking eating and then maybe we talk about corals  . There are no pressures and no mission statement, nothing formal ... yeap none of those burdents  :D :D

We do alot to help each others and the local stores and that is what we are mainly about. So if that is what you like then come by to one of our meeting and find out for yourself.

By the way, I know some of the Mars members such as Pam(awsome tank), ned2getfish, Trevors and some others and have arrange trades with them. If you went to Pam's house last month for that big frag swap then you might have ran into some of the Northcoast reefers without knowing it :D 5 of us were there on that day.

We normally meet the last Friday of the month at Round Table if we don't gather at somebodies house. We have a meeting tonight so our dates are not set in stone. One thing that is nice about this club is that we try to be flexible so everybody can make it. Please feel welcome to join us.

We move our meetings around to different places including but not limited to people houses, pizza parlor, wineries :D ect and we try to meet once a month. also their is no members due :D everything is free except beer cost extra :D

Sounds good, but it'll have to wait til we move. The wife is OK with me going to the MARS meetings at the moment cause it's local. I don't think she'll be too crazy about me driving over their at the moment. Look forward to meeting everybody whenever this house sells. Thanks for the info. Also, I assume that you post when and where the meetings will be held here on RC?

I look forward to seeing you more often again Jeremy. I know you can't wait until you get moved and get to set up your new tank! It's going to be awsome I'm sure.

As northbay-reefer has said it's basically a gathering of mostly hobbiests and a few pros. We have frag swaps and sometime meetings are held at members houses. Those are the ones I like the most. So far our speakers have been memebers however they are generally good and entertaining.
