I don't but I think I'm going to get some glove. Lately everytime I put my arm inside the tank, I got stung by something. It's freaking hurt for days.

Any recommend which glove I should get???

Groupbuy anyone?? :D

No gloves but hate when I have small cuts on hands/finger and I put my hands in the tank and it stings. Elite might want to try some tongs.

I almost never use gloves, but will start doing so more. I know the tank gets oils and stuff that isn't good for the tank. With a big tank, I have to get so much of my arm wet that it becomes a pain to keep washing it if I'm in there a lot. I hate to eat and wonder if I washed my hands well enough :P

I use a regular cheap dishwashing glove for my little nano and I just got the arm length gloves from marinedepot for my larger tank.

I never use gloves and have never been stung??
What is getting you?

I don't know.. If I do, I'd take it out and put in a microwave for 5 minutes :D :smokin: ..

I never have problem before until recently ..

......Elite might want to try some tongs.

The light and canopy are in the way.. tong won't work in my setup :) ..

Never use gloves either....

Just careful not to touch anything that could sting, snip, crush, pierce.... etc...

same as bladze.. almost never used gloves, got stung once or twice, but nothing major. I tried gloves a couple of times and they got it the way, so I stopped using them. Not the smartest thing, I know.. sort of like seatbelts.. they are "in the way" until the one day that you needed them. I tend to more have trouble with the little cuts on my arms/hands getting infected from the tank water than anything else, which just makes them take twice as long to heal then normal

I occasionally use the purple and orange "Aquagloves" but they really deaden your sense of touch. I found it's best to wear those AND hold a pair of tweezers or tongs as well. Basically the fingers are like what I'd imagine astronaut suit fingers to be ... very clumsy.

You can get long THIN gloves (horse proctologist?) because they'd protect your arm/hand and still give you good "feel".

Also remember that the gloves protect your tank water from getting mucked up with whatever happens to be on your hands/arms.

I only use gloves because of my aggressive Clarki Clown fish. If I even stick a single finger in the tank, he comes and starts constantly attacking me. Its amazing that a fish that small would do that. If sharks were that agrressive noone would ever be able to stick even a toe in the ocean.

I've considered that, he can be a real pain sometimes. LOL Also, I'm sorry if this forum is for your local club only, I didn't realize that when I posted that.

Our foxface can be somewhat aggressive also, if I end up working around his "corner". So far naugh but a "tickle" from his spine though :)

My maroon and gold stripe clown is that way. I whack him all the time with my hand to try and get him to back off or "learn" like a dog would do but the little jerk has been doing it for over 2 years !
