How many Radions?

I have a 96x24x24 tank. It is a mixed reef with LPS and SPS. Most of the SPS I keep high up on the rock work and keep the LPS lower. I'm currently running 3 250 Metal halides. Would 3 Gen3 Radions with the wide angle lense be enough for my tank? Would I get more par than my metal halides?

Also a follow up question as I want to switch to all ecotech. For the same tank, how many powerheads do I need? Meaning 2 MP40wQDs on both sides of the tank (4 total) or would 2 MP60wQDs be better or do I need to do a combination (like 1 mp60 and 1 or 2 mp40s)?

Thanks Alex. The calculator told me either 4 MP40s or 2 MP60s. Price is not an issue, but is it better to have 2 MP60s or 4 MP40s given the length of my tank?

I would do 5 radions. I've got an 8' tank as well and 4 just wasn't enough for my taste.

Now for the pumps. I'd say depends on where your going to put them. I had 2 mp60s on this tank but the 60's r beasts and were killing my sps. The only way I wouldn't kill corals was by keeping the 60s under 30%. But then I basically loss the controllability of the pump. It was almost like they were on constant mode. So if your going to want to place corals with in 2'of the pump then I'd say go with the 40s.

Thanks. I did end up going with the 4 MP40s and putting them on the back wall. Tank looks very clean with no pumps or cords anywhere.

I ended up getting a great deal on 4 brand new Hydra 52s. And boy are they a beast. I only have them at 40% and the par is the same as my 250w Radium MH. Crazy bright.
