I have a 110 ten gallon with a 30 gallon sump/refugium with a genx pump (1587gph). My return is split in the tank to change up the flow. I am thinking of putting a couple seio power heads in there. Maybe 620 or 820's. Do you thing there needed? Give me some input. I forgot I have about 130lbs of fiji live rock.

For the money, why not try a koralia? They're about the same size, pull less power, and don't seem to have the negative stigma that rio products have.

go to doc foster and smith's and look up 'hydor koralia'. You should find them there. You could also try champion lighting as well.
They are great pumps. Far superior to the Seios. More efficient, quieter, more maneuverable and come with their own magnet mounts.
Tunze nanostreams may also be an idea, but they are more expensive and don't perform as advertised. The 6025 actually puts out more and the the 6045 actually puts out far less...

They may not go up as high as the Seios, but for the same amount of flow, they are far more efficient and quiet.
I'd rather have 2 of these vs. one Seio 2600 as two are more efficient than one and will be much quieter and produce far less heat due to their efficiency and low wattage. A lot of people have seen a significant drop in tank temp. after throwing these babies onto the tank and removing their Seios.As far larger tanks, you can place them at the back of the tank since the flow is so wide.
Give it try, I doubt you'll be unhappy.

You would be very easy to mod the Hydor Koralia 4 to use the stronger MJ magnet and have more flow. If you're even minimally handy, I would really recommend having the MJ1200 mods instead. Much more efficient and reliable than the Seios not to mentioned cheaper too. The SEIO 2600 is also HUGE.

Just a FYI I have 2 Hydor #3 on order from champ lighting. They are currently on back order . Im putting these in a 120 gal. with a Seio 620. The Dr. place is also $10 more than Champ lighting for the Hydor

Do you have a hydor 4? I plan on using only 2 hydor 4's and 1 tunze nano mod and an eductor off an OR 3500 in a 120 gallon. I think that should be more than enough flow at the beginning. I also plan for it to be SPS dominated.
The way I see it is that you can have one big loud pump (Seio 2600), vs. 2 smaller pumps placed in different areas of the tank, using less energy and producing less heat and getting better flow (better type of flow). That combination of two 4's produces only 24W to the Seio 2600's 55W. I'd take the koralia over the seio any day.

seios suck...they jam at startup...you sometimes need to tap them to get them going....
I've got four 620s in my tank for a year or two now. I have two on the top left, and two on the bottom right. I have a 12 hour timer that has the top two run during the day and then the bottom two during the night.
This is a 75 gallon tank.
It works, but cable wise it's ugly as heck.
